Support
Something broken, something confusing, or something you wish it did — there's one place to send it.
Email support@cattracks.app and a real person will read it.
That's the whole support channel — no ticket portal, no chatbot, no account required to write in. Bugs, questions, account trouble, feature requests, or "this seems wrong" all go to the same address.
What to put in the email
Write as much or as little as you like — but these four things get you an answer fastest, and none of them require you to send us anything about your browsing:
- What you expected, and what happened instead. One line each is plenty.
- Your cattracks version. Open
chrome://extensionsand read the number under the cattracks name. The latest release is always listed in the changelog. - Your browser. Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc — and roughly which version.
- Where it happened. The extension's timeline, its options page, or the web viewer.
Please don't paste your history, URLs, or your recovery code into an email. We can't read your synced history — it reaches our servers already encrypted — and we never need it to help you.
Things you can do yourself, right now
Some of the most common requests are already buttons — no email round-trip needed:
- Installing or updating. The install guide covers both routes — the Chrome Web Store (Chrome handles updates) and loading cattracks by hand (twenty-second manual updates, history carries over) — plus what's involved in moving from a hand-install to the Web Store copy.
- Exporting your history. "Export my history" on the extension's options page (or the export control in the web viewer) downloads everything as JSON.
- Deleting history, or your whole account. Both live on the extension's options page. Deleting everything clears this device and the encrypted copies on our servers.
- Forgotten password. Use the recovery code cattracks showed you at sign-up — it's the only way back into your data, and we can't reset it for you, because we never hold your key.
- What changed in the last release. Every version, dated and newest first, in the changelog.
- What we do and don't collect. The complete privacy policy — no hidden version.
Privacy questions and data requests
Access, correction, or deletion requests — and anything else about how cattracks handles your data — go to the same address: support@cattracks.app. The privacy policy spells out what we hold, which is less than you'd expect.
